Brookville Lake
Reservoir · Franklin County, Indiana

Eastern Indiana's premier walleye and bass reservoir
Brookville Lake covers 5,260 surface acres along the East Fork Whitewater River in Franklin and Union counties. Built by the Army Corps of Engineers, Brookville is Indiana's premier walleye fishery — DNR's annual stocking program combined with the lake's deep, clear water produces walleye over 8 pounds. Smallmouth bass thrive on the rocky shorelines and points. White bass runs in the upper end during spring are legendary among local anglers. Crappie fishing in spring around brush piles is excellent. The Whitewater Memorial State Park and Mounds SRA provide multiple ramps, marinas, beaches, and campgrounds. Striper hybrid stocking has also been periodic.
