North-central Indiana's walleye and bass flatwater reservoir
Mississinewa Reservoir is a 3,180-acre Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on the Mississinewa River in Miami, Wabash, and Grant counties. Walleye and saugeye stocking has built one of the strongest walleye fisheries in northern Indiana — fish over 5 pounds are common, with the spring tailwater bite below the dam particularly productive. The lake also supports excellent largemouth bass, white bass, and channel catfish. Frances Slocum SRA on the south shore is the primary public access, with multiple boat ramps, a beach, and campgrounds. The Miami SRA on the north shore adds additional ramps and shore-fishing access.
