Salamonie Reservoir
Reservoir · Huntington County, Indiana

Quiet Wabash-area reservoir for walleye, hybrids, and crappie
Salamonie Reservoir spans 2,855 acres on the Salamonie River in Huntington and Wabash counties. As one of three Army Corps reservoirs in northeast Indiana (along with Mississinewa and Roush), Salamonie has earned a reputation among local anglers for consistent walleye and hybrid striped bass. The lake's deep main basin and wood-strewn upper arms create varied structure. Crappie fishing in spring around the standing timber is excellent. The Mt. Etna SRA, Lost Bridge East SRA, and Hanging Rock provide ramps, beaches, and campgrounds. Salamonie is also a popular ice-fishing destination in winter.
